Main Character energy
As a business owner or brand representative, it is essential to exude main character energy when creating content for your audience. What exactly is main character energy? It is the confidence and charisma that radiates from individuals who are unapologetically themselves and fully believe in the value of what they have to offer.
When filming content for your business or brand, it is crucial to have the mindset of a main character. This means being confident in yourself, your products, and your brand's message. You cannot worry about what others may think or fear that people will judge you. Instead, focus on showcasing the unique qualities and strengths that set your business apart from the competition.
Having main character energy in your content not only captures the attention of your audience but also builds trust and credibility. When you believe in yourself and your brand, others are more likely to do the same. This level of confidence can be infectious and lead to increased engagement and conversions.
So, how can you embody main character energy in your content? Start by being authentic and true to yourself. Share your story, values, and passion for what you do. Be bold, take risks, and don't be afraid to stand out from the crowd. Remember, you are the hero of your own story, and your audience wants to see you shine.
At KB MEDIA, we understand the importance of main character energy in content creation. We work with businesses and brands to help them showcase their unique personalities and strengths through compelling videos and visuals. Contact us today to learn how we can help you embody main character energy and elevate your brand's presence in the digital world.
Selling on social
Social media is a social platform, let’s say it together! Business owners usually have one thing on their minds, selling their product or service, right? While all of that is great and good, it is extremely important to remember what it is like to be a consumer.
What attracts you to want to buy? What are you drawn to? Are you an emotional buyer? You MUST take the time to stop and answer these questions before moving forward in your journey of selling on social media. So, let’s put ourselves in the mindset of a consumer. In order for this to work, you’ve got to be 100% honest with yourself.
1. Do you enjoy commercials and/or ads?
2. Do you prefer watching ads or do you skip over them as fast as possible?
3. Who are the people you enjoy following the most on social media? Is it a chef, pro golfer, a TV personality that you just cannot get enough of? (we will circle back to this)
4. Have you ever purchased ANYTHING they have worn, talked about, or used?
5. When scrolling, are you attracted to funny memes or skit-like content?
6. Have you ever seen a quote or heard a motivational speech and felt motivated to take any kind of action and sent it to your best friend?
We could go on all day…but you catch my drift!
Going back to question number 3, who are you following on social and why are you following them. I can BET you it is not because they are just consistently posting mid-product images and saying “We love our X product! Come see how great it is and we know you need at least one in your life”. No, that is not happening.
People buy with their emotions, make decisions with their emotions, and as business owners we need to cater to that. So here is your homework:
1. Write down the top 5 people you follow on social
2. Why do you follow them?
3. Are they selling a product or service?
4. What do you like about their content?
5. Have you or would you ever buy from them?
I am going to check back in with you guys next week and I want to hear your answers! Drop a comment and tell me your answers!

Modern Vet
Calling all my fellow fur parents! There is a new doctor in town and this week we wanted to highlight our client Dr. Matt Bradley, Owner of Modern Vet. See, the cool thing about Dr. Bradley (speaking from someone who owns 6 dogs…yes, I know) is not only his unique approach as a business owner but the value he holds in making his clients' customer experience a top priority. We all want the very best for our pets, right? And speaking from experience, there is nothing more important than having a close working relationship with your Vet.
When onboarding Dr. Bradley, he expressed his strong dedication to creating content that was going to speak to his target audience. So, how did we tackle that? Let’s get into it…
Dr. Bradley is KILLER on camera, so we knew that we wanted to strike a balance of content that was going to show off his vast knowledge but keep his relatability high. This balance is not always an easy task, but in this case, we married the two perfectly. Below are some of our favorite videos we have done to date.
When creating content for service-based businesses, it is always important to have pieces of content that hit all of the pillars we, here at KB MEDIA, live by: Educational, inspirational, and entertaining content. While this is very broad, it gives us a canvas to start outlining and letting our creative minds do the heavy lifting.
Another important point to mention is that some topics are not always going to be crowd-pleasers, and may make some people even a little uncomfortable, such as Dr. Bradley’s video on Euthanasia. While it’s not a topic that we love to think about, this is an incredibly important message for Dr. Bradley to convey to his audience. It shows where he stands not only as your Vet but him as a person. I know I would much appreciate hearing about this from my Vet!
Well, I could brag about this guy all day, but I am sure you are ready to watch some content! Enjoy and go like and follow on Instagram & Facebook!
